Courtney Stone
California Licensed Clinical Social Worker #111638/ Ohio LICSW #I.2607950
I am a licensed therapist based in Los Angeles, California supporting folks throughout California and Ohio. I am passionate about infusing therapy with real life. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kentucky. Having trained in inpatient psychiatry at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric hospital on the adult general mental health and adolescent eating disorders units as well as working at USC on the Multidisciplinary Eating and Body Image Concerns Team, my therapy focuses on supporting adults and adolescents with general mental health,ADHD, eating disorders, and body image concerns. I have also been trained in working with athletes through the University of Michigan and provide therapy for athletes seeking support for performance, injury recovery, and life transitions.
My path to therapy wasn’t a straight line—I began my career in the entertainment industry, helping bring other people’s stories to life. Through that experience, I realized something important: I didn’t just want to tell people’s stories—I wanted to help people find their voice and share their own stories. That’s what brought me to this work.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and infused with personality. Healing happens in a space where you can show up fully as yourself—without judgment, without pretense. Together, I will journey with you to create that kind of space, so you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
Movement is also an important part my life, and when it supports your goals and is clinically appropriate, I integrate it into the therapeutic process. Movement is more than exercise—it’s a powerful, evidence-based tool for nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and reconnecting with your body. Whether using traditional talk therapy or integrating mindful movement, my goal is always the same: to provide a space where you can exhale, be yourself, and explore what matters most to you—at your own pace, in your own way.
